thebetterindia.com details the story behind Roll the Dice
“After years in tech, founders Roll the Dice’s Tanushri SN and Shashishekhar S chose a different path—one that revives India’s traditional board games through eco-friendly craftsmanship and authentic materials. Their collection of over 15 game variants, from Chowka Bara and Pagade to Aadu Huli and Navakankari, is handcrafted by 30+ artisans across southern India, avoiding plastic and celebrating regional heritage.
Beyond commerce, the venture is connecting families, offering screen-free play, and bringing generations together—“living threads of our culture,” as Tanushri puts it.
With an eye to the future, the couple is building a digital bridge too: the upcoming platform Tollugatti will let a grandmother in Mysuru play with her granddaughter abroad.
